I'm not going to take a risk to do that just for this little solution.
#BLINK LITE PRO MODE WINDOWS#
I want an option that I can set within Windows which disables the blinking LED light.ĭalchina: Yea, I did general research to figure out if it's possible to turn off the LED blinking while Sleeping, yet saw results with people physically altering their motherboard. And please, the suggestion of physically covering the LED light with some clothes or tape, is not a solution. So I am asking for a method, within Windows, that I could set to when I put the computer to Sleep, it would power down, yet the LED light would turn off completely. I sleep in the same room with the computer, and that blinking would obviously bother me so much when I want to sleep. My only issue is that once I put the computer to Sleep, the LED light on the Desktop case blinks every second or so. So this method is almost exactly like Hibernate, but more "efficient", obviously. The computer shuts off almost immediately (I am aware that it doesn't create a huge useless file on the drive, and everything is saved in the RAM), and once I turn it on, it loads up very quickly with everything that I left open. "RUNDL元2.EXE powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0"Īnd tried it. So I looked online to see the method of setting the computer to go into Sleep mode. I really love that little setup that I have, and the loading time doesn't bother me at all really.īut: I am aware that over a period of time, it is possible that an SSD drive may get damaged slowly whenever files are created and deleted and whatnot. Then when I turn on the computer, it takes about 20 seconds to load up from the Hibernate state, and the hiberfil.sys file gets deleted once the computer reloads exactly where I left off, with all programs that are already open, which is really cool and convenient. When I run this little custom "script", it enables Hibernate mode (where Windows creates an 8 GB hiberfil.sys file, taking 20 seconds or so, in the root of C:\, and the computer powers off). So for the longest time ever, I customized a method to whenever I want to power down my computer and then start it back up again, it would reload everything that's already open.
